Rus-Tec Engineering worked with a drilling contractor to refurbish and commission a rig that was a new addition to their fleet. The rig centerpiece was inspected and repairs completed in conjunction with the addition of levelling jacks to the substructure. As well, an top drive extend frame was designed and fabricated to suit the unique mast configuration. The rig returned to the field with renewed certifications and increased capabilities to meet the requirements specified by the owners when the project commenced. Collaboration with all parties was crucial to maintain an expedited time-line and begin drilling on schedule.
